  1. One of my favorite RUSH videos and songs, and also this was my favorite chapter in their Steampunk novel spinoff of their album, Clockwork Angels. Quite a sad song, and probably the most depressing chapter in the book.

  3. Finally has Microsoft Office.

Which means now I’ll be able to write more… stuff. And stuff. Huzzah. I am so looking forward to this. If anyone needs to contact me, my dA and LJ are probably the best places to locate me.

  5. I love it when people bitch about the things you post on any of your social networking/ social media sites. Especially social networking. Then they have to comment and be all, “Hey, this is such-and-such, not a diary.” It’s like, “That’s lovely, and I don’t care. Go fuck yourself. Social media is open for anyone to type whatever the hell they want.” If I want to type about how proud I am to have accomplished my daily chores because I actually woke up early, than I will. If you don’t want to read about it, then the wonders of social networking say that you are free to either 1) skip over it; 2) hide posts; and/or 3) Go fuck yourself and remove me as a friend. I’m not going to change how I chose to do social networking, because that’s part of who I am.

    Ruby:

With Ace and Fiona, Brawly’s gym was more than easy. He spammed super potions, but still went down in less than a minute. Having been victorious, I made my way to Route 109 and battled my way to Slateport City. There I took time to see what the place had to offer, delivered the Devon Goods, and beat up Team Magma. I exited to Route 110, where I caught a lvl 12 female Electrike, who I named Zelda. From Route 110, I battled my way to Mauville City, where I beat up Brandon along the way.

I made my way to Mauville City, where I snagged a bike and HM Rock Smash. Wally spotted me and quickly challenged me to a battle, where I stomped him flat into the ground and showed him (apparently) that there is more to being a pokemon trainer than just beating up people. (I still fail to see how he learned so much in such little time. .-. Whateves~.) I made my way onto route 117, where I beat up more trainers and caught a lvl 13 male Marill named Bloo. From this point on, I continued to grind everyone to lvl 25, when I would then take on Wattson.

    1. Inferno [Combusken; lvl 25]
    2. Ayami [Mightyena; lvl 25]
    3. Fiona [Pelliper; lvl 25]
    5. Ranran [Linoone; lvl 25; HM Slave]
    6. Ace [Swellow; lvl 25]
    7. Violet [Loudred; lvl 25]

With my team now at 25, I went with Inferno to go knock out Wattson. Needless to say, he went down without a problem. After smashing the gym, I went to cycling road to level up Inferno a bit more——and to purchase a Harbor Mail so I could get a coin case. Then I trained a bit more in the Trick Master’s house before moving up to the fiery towns by the volcano. As I entered Route 112, I encountered a lvl 15 female Numel. I named her Lilianna.

Next I entered the Fiery Path, where I encountered a lvl 16 male Torkoal. I captured him and named him Blaze. Then onto Route 113 I proceed, where I encountered a lvl 15 male Spinda. He was easily captured, and was named Zero. I then made my way to Fallarbor Town and even quicker, onto Route 114. They told me Professor Cozmo was with Team Magma. I didn’t know the guy, but he sounded gullible. So I made with haste (not really).

I entered Meteor Falls, where I caught Team Magma trying to persuade Prof. Cozmo into giving them a meteorite. Then Team Aqua appeared and scurried them off. ._. After that scene, I went to check on Cozmo… only to find out he was tricked… Dx After that, I left the cave and towards Lavaridge Town. I beat up Team Magma at the volcano, captured a lvl 19 male Spoink named Oliver, and returned the meteorite to Cozmo; now that I’ve caught up with LeafGreen, I’m beginning to grind to take on Flannery.

    1. Inferno [Combusken; lvl 35]
    2. Ayami [Mightyena; lvl 30]
    3. Fiona [Pelliper; lvl 25]
    5. Ranran [Linoone; lvl 25; HM Slave]
    6. Ace [Swellow; lvl 25]
    7. Violet [Loudred; lvl 30]

    PC:
    8. Spike [Goldeen; lvl 5]
    9. Fang [Magikarp; lvl 8]
    10. Sea Ruby [Tentacool; lvl 6]
    11. Mimi [Zubat; lvl 10]
    12. Zelda [Electrike; lvl 12]
    13. Bloo [Marill; lvl 13]
    14. Lilianna [Numel; lvl 15]
    15. Blaze [Torkoal; lvl 16]
    16. Zero [Spinda; lvl 15]
    17. Oliver [Spoink; lvl 19]

    Deceased:
    4.Xion; lvl 15

    LeafGreen:

    1. Nate [Charmeleon; lvl 30]
    2. Loki [Pidgeotto; lvl 25]
    3. Goku [Mankey; lvl 26]
    4. Issac [Butterfree; lvl 25]
    5. Ch’ding [Farfetch’d; lvl 25]
    6. Ein [Parasect; lvl 25]

Boarded SS Anne, beat Gary and obtained HM Cut, then went to battle Surge. Beat Surge with the help of Goku, who evolved into a Primape, and Nate. Now onward through Diglett’s Cave and then to Rock Tunnel. On route 10, I encountered a lvl 14 Voltorb. I captured it using Issac, and named him Jolt. Onward I went into the dark depths of Rock Tunnel. My favorite thing about this tunnel is avoiding the use of flash. Maybe here I could capture a decent rock-type. Maybe. Unfortunately, I had encountered a lvl 17, male Machop. Reluctantly, I captured it and named him Higgins. I continued to battle my way through Rock Tunnel, having almost lost Nate, but thankfully surviving thanks to Goku, Ein, and Loki.

When I emerged at Lavender town, I quickly heals and walked around, taking up the bleak sites, then exited to route 8, where I caught a lvl 16 male Vulpix named Kirara. (Yes, I know Kirara was female.) Then I battled my way to Celadon City.

After getting into Celadon City late last night, I healed at the pokemon center, then went to get my tea for the guards (how they share it with all of them I have no idea). I then looked around Celadon for a bit, and found a lvl 25 male eevee, who I called Skover. I headed west out of Celadon to see a snorlax blocking the path. So I went north and obtained HM Fly, then on my way back, I caught a lvl 20 female Dodou, who I named Deedee. I walked back into Celadon, and decided to look around the mall, as well as stock on up Lemonade. I proceed to explore around town, having obtained a coin case. While I could probably go to battle Erica now, I’m actually going to train some of my lower level teammates right now. Having battled a duo fire-team on route 16, I almost lost Ch’ding, not that it would have meant much, but either way, it was still kinda scary.

    1. Nate [Charmeleon; lvl 35]
    2. Loki [Pidgeotto; lvl 28]
    3. Goku [Primape; lvl 30]
    4. Issac [Butterfree; lvl 27]
    5. Ch’ding [Farfetch’d; lvl 27]
    6. Ein [Parasect; lvl 31]

    PC:
    7. Samuel [Rattata; lvl 10]
    8. Kent [Weedle; lvl 7]
    9. Sirous [Bellsprout; lvl 12]
    10. Geddy Lee [Meowth; lvl 10]
    11. Meg [Diglett; lvl 20]
    12. Hansel [Sandshrew; lvl 15]
    13. Jolt [Voltorb; lvl 14]
    14. Higgins [Machop; lvl 17]
    15. Kirara [Vulpix; lvl 16]
    16. Skover [Eevee; lvl 25]
    17. Deedee [Dodou; lvl 20]

Chapter 5 will probably have a lot as well.

    Ruby:
I spent my vacation time leveling, and this is what my current team was before fighting Roxanne and after busting butt leveling:

    1. Inferno [Combusken; lvl 18]
    2. Ayami [Poochyena; lvl 15]
    3. Fiona [Wingull; lvl 14]
    5. Ranran [Zigzagoon; lvl 14; HM Slave]
    6. Ace [Taillow; lvl 15]
    4. Xion; [Beautifly; lvl 15]

Xion died in the battle with Roxanne. ;-; There went my only grass-ish type. Ugh. I swapped out Violet and trained her some, helped out Devon Corp., went to Dewford and got my old rod, then went back to Petalburg to capture a pokemon. Couldn’t fish on 103, 102, and 104 due to Nuzlocke, but that was alright as I could fish off of Dewford and in Petalburg. So I did and encountered a lvl 5 male Goldeen. After a long, long battle, I finally capture him, and gave him the name Spike. My next stop was back to Dewford. So that I’m still in nuzlocke, I am capturing the first pokemon I happen to fish up, provided it is not a repeat. Anyway, in Dewford I fished up a lvl 8, male Magikarp. I captured him and named him Fang. Route 106 didn’t have much to offer via pokemon, so I took the opportunity to fish again— for the only thing I could at this time. Which would be a Tentacool. I encountered a lvl 6 female tentacool. Successfully capturing her, I gave her the name Sea Ruby. I made my way into Granite Cave, where I encountered a lvl 10 female Zubat. (Whoopdedo). I caught ‘er, and nicknamed ‘er Mimi. (Would’ve much rather had a Makuhita. D; …Oh well.) Made my way to sir Steven and chatted with him. Then began the long level grinding process.

As of right now, this is what I currently have:
    1. Inferno [Combusken; lvl 18]
    2. Ayami [Poochyena; lvl 15]
    3. Fiona [Wingull; lvl 15]
    5. Ranran [Zigzagoon; lvl 14; HM Slave]
    6. Ace [Taillow; lvl 15]
    7. Violet [Whismur; lvl 14]

    PC:
    8. Spike [Goldeen; lvl 5]
    9. Fang [Magikarp; lvl 8]
    10. Sea Ruby [Tentacool; lvl 6]
    11. Mimi [Zubat; lvl 10]

    Deceased:
    4.Xion; lvl 15

When I am done leveling everyone up a bit, I will take on Brawly, travel to Slateport City, venture to route 110 where I shall capture one teammate, beat up my rival, travel to mauville City, venture to Route 117 to capture another teammate, head to Verdanturf Town, then close off with grinding to take on Wattson.

    LeafGreen:
As for LeafGreen, I spent a lot of time on this game while I was vacationing. When I left off, this is what I had:

    1. Nate [Charmander; lvl 15]
    2. Loki [Pidgey; lvl 13]
    3. Goku [Mankey; lvl 13]
    4. Issac [Butterfree; lvl 13]

I went ahead and battled Brock and won. There I traveled to Route 3, where I caught a lvl 6 female spearow and named her Siren. Then I entered Mt. Moon and encountered a lvl 5 male Paras. I named him Ein. I fought my way through Mt. Moon and found myself at Cerulean City. Outside Cerulean City, on Route 4, I had encountered a lvl 10 male Rattata. I named him Samuel. I grinded a bit more, went ahead and beat Gary, the proceeded north onto Route 24, where I caught a lvl 7 male Weedle, named Kent. On route 25, I caught a lvl 12 male Bellsprout named Sirous. I talked to Bill, then went to battle Misty. After beating Misty, I headed towards Vermillion City. On Route 5, I caught a lvl 10 male Meowth, and named him after my cat, Geddy Lee. Then I proceeded into Diglett’s Cave, where I caught a lvl 20 female Diglett whom I named Meg. On route 11, I caught a lvl 15 female Sandshrew, whom I named Hansel… who after naming her, I realized was sorta a dude-like named, but never the less, HANSEL she shall be forever~. Also, I looked about in the rules of nuzlocke and didn’t see anything against trading, so when I got into Vermillion City, I traded Siren for a Farfetch’d. Kinda wish I didn’t, because pursuit is a lovely move, but I didn’t regret it until after I did. Poor Siren. I hope she is doing good. With farfetch’d, I thought I’d make him my Fly and Cut slave, seeings as I didn’t want to waste Cut on Ein, and didn’t want to waste Fly on Loki. As of right now, this if my current team:

    1. Nate [Charmeleon; lvl 30]
    2. Loki [Pidgeotto; lvl 22]
    3. Goku [Mankey; lvl 24]
    4. Issac [Butterfree; lvl 23]
    5. Ch’ding [Farfetch’d; lvl 21; traded for Siren who was a lvl 19 Spearow at the time]
    6. Ein [Parasect; lvl 24]

    PC:
    7. Samuel [Rattata; lvl 10]
    8. Kent [Weedle; lvl 7]
    9. Sirous [Bellsprout; lvl 12]
    10. Geddy Lee [Meowth; lvl 10]
    11. Meg [Diglett; lvl 20]
    12. Hansel [Sandshrew; lvl 15]

    Dead:
    None, atm.

I plan on grinding for a bit more, just a couple more levels or so, then I will board the SS. Anne, battle Surge, then make my way through Rock Tunnel into Lavender Town.

  9. Nuzlocke Challenge, Pokemon Ruby and LeafGreen Ch. 2

    The Rules:
    1) If it faints, it’s dead.
    2) Only catch the first new pokémon you see on each route (except repeats and legends).
    3) Nickname everything.
    4) Kill all the legendaries.

    —————————————————————————————-

    Ruby:
Ayami almost died multiple times while grinding, but thankfully Inferno was able to swap in and take a few hits. I battled my way through route 102 into Petalburg, healed, then went to talk to Norman to help Wally capture his first pokémon. Horrah for a new rival and stuffs.

I left Petalburg to Route 104. Here I encountered a level 5 female Wurmple. I caught her and named her Xion. I then battled my way to the Petalburg woods. While there, I encountered another Wurmple. Due to the rules of Nuzlocke, repeats allow for another chance. So I walked around for a bit more and encountered a level 5 male Zigzagoon. I captured him and gave him the name Ranran. This capture made me slightly happy because I could evolve him later on and use him as my HM slave. Hoorah. Even though I was hoping to get a Shroomish. Oh well~.

From there, I beat up some more trainers (and blah), and kicked Team Magma around. (To be honest, I feel that playing through on a hacked version of any pokemon games would be more challenging, simply because the gym leaders and trainers are stronger. Try playing through Pokemon Yang White or Ying Black with the random encounter code on. Yea. That crap is hard, but I like what the person did with those games. They’re a lot harder than the Nuzlockes I’m going through on the actual games. D; Just sayin’.)

I reemerged onto Route 104. Because I already caught a pokémon on this route, it is still considered the same area (because it is the same route), so I cannot capture a pokémon here. I visited with the Pretty Petal flower shop and blah, then made my way into Rustboro City. I spent time collecting all the free items. I ran north to Route 115, even though there wasn’t anything I could do then, other than find a Super Potion. Joooy. I headed back into Rustboro and took a left onto Route 116. Here I encountered a lvl 6 male Taillow. (hoorah!) To avoid killing it, I sent out Fiona and had her use water gun. He broke out of a few pokéballs, but I finally caught him. I named him Ace. I was quite please to have captured that, because now that means that I can capture a Whismer in the Rusturf Cave. Had I caught one on route 116, I wouldn’t have been able to capture something in the cave, as that is all that cave has. So very happy, indeed. (The more pokemon you have for a Nuzlocke, the better.)

In the cave, I encountered a lvl 7 female Whismur. She almost took out Ranran, so I stalled a bit with Inferno, then sent out Fiona. When she got weak enough, I threw a ball, but she broke out and almost took out Fiona. I swapped Inferno back in to stall while I attempted again to try to capture the rampaging rabbit. This time I caught her, and I named her Violet. I now have a pretty good number of pokémon on my team. Here though, is where I now have to grind to fight Roxanne.

    1. Inferno [Combusken; lvl 17]
    2. Ayami [Poochyena; lvl 8]
    3. Fiona [Wingull; lvl 9]
    4. Xion [Wurmple; lvl 5]
    5. Ranran [Zigzagoon; lvl 5; HM Slave]
    6. Ace [Taillow; lvl 6]

    PC:
    7. Violet [Whismur; lvl 7]

I should also note that you cannot swap with pokémon in your box. The only time you can is when one of your current party members die. This is where it will start to get slightly more challenging. There also seemed to be a lot more to do in Ruby than there was in LeafGreen. But for now, lots of leveling to do. In Chapter 3, which shall be rather short, I shall battle Roxanne, then make my way to Dewford Town where I shall capture another pokémon, obtain my fishing rod, then grind a bit to battle Brawley.

    LeafGreen:
Goku almost died a few times during the process of grinding. It was pretty close, but he managed to survive, thankfully. After I healed at the center, I went to go spank Gary. Hurrr. Nate took out his pidgey, then I had Loki use Sand Attack (just because I could). After a while, his Squirtle’s tackles nearly took out Loki, so I swapped in Goku and had him use Low Kick.

After beating Gary, I healed then went to Viridian Forest, where I ended up capturing a level 5 male Caterpie. I named him Issac. Right afterwards, I encountered a lvl 5 female Pikachu, and I thought to myself, “Damnit! D;” Had to kill it though. As badly as I wanted to capture it, I couldn’t. >: On a regular playthrough though, I always get a pikachu, just to make Misty’s gym a little less challenging.

Anywho, I battled my way through the forest and blah. I reemerged onto Route 2, encountered a Rattata and crit-scratched it. x; So now I cannot capture anything on Route 2. Here though, I shall end Chapter 2, as I need to grind up to battle Brock. This is a recap of my current team:

    1. Nate [Charmander; lvl 14]
    2. Loki [Pidgey; lvl 8]
    3. Goku [Mankey; lvl 8]
    4. Issac [Caterpie; lvl 6]

    In chapter 3, I have a lot more going on. I shall battle Brock, capture a pokemon on Route 3, Floor 1 of Mt. Moon (Due to the rules of Nuzlocke, you cannot capture a pokemon on any of the other floors because it is still considered the same area, UNLESS you use repel to get down to the floor that you want as to avoid having an encounter until then. Though it is still first encounter, first capture, unless it is a legendary or repeat of one you already have.), then capturing one on Route 4, and another on Routes 24 and 25. Then from there I will be grinding to battle Misty. How fun. Until next time. Have fun. <;

  10. Nuzlocke Challenge, Pokemon Ruby and LeafGreen Ch. 1

Authors Note: Doing a nuzlocke challenge on my Ruby and LeafGreen versions. I shall be using my Tumblr to mark its progress. The rules are simple.

    The Rules:
    1) If it faints, it’s dead.
    2) Only catch the first new pokémon you see on each route (except repeats and legends).
    3) Nickname everything.
    4) Kill all the legendaries.

There are more rules to this, though they are optional. These however, are the ones that I have selected to go with. I believe they are the basic rules, as well. Anywho~.

    Ruby————
Starting out, I obtained Inferno, my torchic on route 101. Due to the rules of Nuzlocke, I am forbidden to capture any other pokémon in that area. Leveled him up to 7, then went to go battle Brendan.

Battling Brendan, I commanded Inferno to use Focus Energy, then spammed Scratch. His mudkip’s tackle landed a crit on Inferno, taking him down to 3 hit points. In Nuzlocke, if any of your pokémon faint, you cannot use them any more. They are considered “dead” and therefore must be stowed away in your PC for the rest of the challenge. So, to avoid the pain of having to start over again, I was forced into using a potion and then hit it once again with scratch to finish the battle and obtain level 8.

After the battle, I obtained my pokédex, a handful of pokéballs, and running shoes. I healed up at my house, then proceed back to route 103 to capture my first pokémon, which happened to be a level 2 female Wingull. I could feel the mixture of feelings building up as it broke through 3 pokéballs and gave Inferno quite a beating. With just 5 hit points left, I held my breath as I threw the ball, only to gasp quickly, having finally captured her. I gave her the name Fiona.

I dashed to the Pokémon Center to quickly heal up, then ran to the PokéMart, where I stocked up on some pokéballs and potions. I proceeded to route 102 where I encountered my second pokémon to capture, a level 3 female Poochyena. Inferno used scratch and then I tossed a ball, successfully capturing her, and giving her the name of Ayami.

Here is where I end the chapter so that I can level grind some. If at some point any of the 3 die, I have to deposit them and can never use them again. In chapter 2, I shall proceed to Petalburg City and Rustboro City, where I shall capture my next 4 pokémon, possibly. Provided I don’t kill them while trying.

    Breakdown of Ruby:
    1. Inferno [Torchic; Started lvl 5, ended level 8]
    2. Fiona [Wingull; Start lvl 2]
    3. Ayami [Poochyena; Start lvl 3]

    LeafGreen————
Starting out, I debated for a while what pokemon I wanted to go with. Because it is Nuzlocke, I wanted to make sure I wasn’t going to have to do much swapping. If I chose Bulbasaur, I’d be pretty steady up until Sabrina. If I went with Charmander, I’d only have a bit of difficulty battling Misty. If I went with Squirtle, I’d have some problems with Surge and Erika. But with Squirtle I’d be able to use surf. If I went for Squirtle, I wouldn’t be able to obtain a decent fire type for a while. If I chose Charmander, I wouldn’t be able to get a decent water type for a while. Both options were still in place even with Bulbasaur. So I said “Screw it” and went with my Charmander. I named him Nate.

I healed back up at my house and proceed to go receive Oak’s Parcel. On my way, I was lucky enough to encounter two Rattata, which was good, cause I wanted a Pidgey anyway. o; I returned as fast as I could with the package (running shoes pl0x) mainly because I wanted to get passed all the long and boring introductory stuff. (I do believe White and Black have the longest fuggin’ introductory. >__> Trying to do those on a Nuzlocke is rather annoying.) Received the pokédex, got some pokéballs, and left to start the challenge.

Starting the challenge on Route 1, I was lucky enough to encounter. With the help of Nate, my Charmander, I successfully capture a male, level 3 Pidgey, whom I named Loki. I headed to Route 22, where I would capture my second pokémon. I ended up encountering a level 3, male, Mankey. I gave him the name Goku. I went back to the PokéMart to buy some PokéBalls, potions, and antidotes. Then proceeded to level grind so that I could beat Gary.

LeafGreen seems to be going by faster than Ruby did.

    Breakdown of LeafGreen:
    1. Nate [Charmander; Start lvl 5, ending lvl 7]
    2. Loki [Pidgey; Start lvl 3]
    3. Goku [Mankey; Start lvl 3]

In chapter 2 for LG, I shall beat up Gary, make my way through Viridian Forest to Pewter City, capturing 1-2 more pokémon, and quite possibly defeating Brock. (More than likely more level grinding for that though).

    Hopefully as well, I shall write these up better. x;

  11. I think one of the scariest things for a technician, is when you have to learn to anesthetize an animal. Never had any experience, any other sort of practice, and yet tomorrow is my very first time. I’m scared shitless. Needless to say I broke down and cried from being overwhelmed, stressed, and scared. Not that crying ever did anyone any good. Though there wasn’t much else to do after being overwhelmed.
